This one features Jayden and Cole.Jayden was a military brat, always moving, never allowed to grow roots anywhere. She has a clever way of remembering everyone’s names the first time she meets them, and she is an excellent lock-picker.
Cole was born in Emerson, and wants to travel, but first he buys a piece of property right before Jayden plans to send in her offer to buy the property. Jayden is broken hearted. She wanted this property. It was perfect for her and her family care medical site.
Cole suggests she becomes his tenant.
Having no other choice, she agrees. And thus, begins the subtle attraction between the two of them. While they are both physicians, not everything goes smoothly. As physicians, Cole spreads himself over three jobs, while Jayden spends her efforts building up her practice.
At one point she decides to sacrifice her dreams for the man she loves, so he can have the life he wants. But can such a lopsided situation ever result in true love and happiness?
That question had me gravely concerned. This story line was much too similar to a real-life situation I went through. And that is the beauty of Linda O’Connor’s stories. They are well rooted in reality. And reality is not clean and neat. Reality is messy. But as always, we are assured Linda O’Connor will provide us with a happy ending. But you’ll never guess in advance how this one comes to be.
